Excel and me

At first I met the spreadsheet at the university. I think it was the Quatro. From that time I only remember a few things. There are the cells where I can enter numbers or formulas calculated in real time. I can write an apostrophe before the number so it will be considered as a text. While I press the F4 key in a formula, the aplication adds the dollars ($) to cell's addresses, which block them during copying. I don't know why just these remained in my head, but I'm glad. It works well also in the Excel.
With the Excel I work everyday since 2002. My only knowledge of the Excel was everything I wrote in the previous paragraph. There was one more thing, in fact. I could press the button and the program recorded everything what I did. So I began to explore it and think hard how does it work and why.
I want to say everything I know about the Excel I found in the application help or I deduced. I bought only one book - "Excel 2002 Power Programming With VBA" by John Walkenbach - and I was lucky that it was worth the money spent. And of course I searched on the Internet.

What you won't find here

I was thinking about creating a website describing the Excel. Luckily I looked on the Internet and surprisingly I found out that already exist. Some of them are excellent, another ones are worse, but the basic knowledge you can get. So I will not to carry coals to Newcastle.
